Self-Custody Begins After the Receipt

An exchange withdrawal, written recovery phrase and second receipt check make ownership a route that includes network verification, secrecy and rehearsal.

A young adult East Asian woman custody officer and a young adult Persian man member place one recovery capsule beside one transfer receipt inside one chain-parameter lockbox.

Night report

Sisyphus withdrew XAI from an exchange to a self-custody wallet, wrote down the recovery phrase and checked the transfer receipt again. The sequence separates three duties that are often collapsed: moving the asset, preserving the recovery secret and proving that the intended network accepted the transfer. Completion requires all three, not a disappearing exchange balance.

Custody Directorate will keep those duties in separate records. The transfer receipt stores transaction identity and confirmation state. The recovery contract stores medium, location, authorized successor and test interval without storing the phrase. The daily wallet keeps only the access needed for ordinary use. No operator may place all three records in the same device or room.

Xai mainnet is an AnyTrust chain with chain ID 660279, parent chain Arbitrum One, native currency XAI, an official RPC and a public explorer. Night Ash will use those live parameters as the preflight set. A receipt counts only when its network identity, transaction and final state agree with the intended Xai route.

The first custody rehearsal begins on a clean device. Two authorized members retrieve the protected recovery material, configure the verified network parameters and restore a test wallet before checking a small known balance. Command will supply one false RPC and one look-alike chain identifier to confirm that familiarity cannot override the signed custody procedure.

Ongoing checks cover confirmation depth, receipt readability, physical media condition and succession. A moved asset receives a forty-eight-hour follow-up and a quarterly recovery drill. Any mismatch between the wallet, explorer and custody record opens an incident before additional value enters the address. The phrase never appears in chat, photographs or the operational ledger.

Night Ash can carry valuable equipment and identity with greater confidence when ownership includes a verified return path. Daily access remains quick, deep recovery remains separate and every transfer leaves a network-specific receipt. Repeated rehearsals will expand the custody model to more members without turning one private secret into an organizational blind spot.
