Security Directorate owns the Night Ash response, with Records Directorate maintaining evidence and Legal Command setting disclosure boundaries. The decision is to measure confidentiality over the full life of authority: creation, use, rotation, loss, recovery, audit, and retirement. A private route fails if it protects today's transaction by making tomorrow's rightful recovery impossible or unverifiable.
The first exercise will seal one operational instruction, authorize one bounded payment, and store one recovery share outside the active device. Operators will rotate the signing method, lose the original wallet, and restore only the approved authority. The audit crew must prove continuity without exposing the instruction, while a revoked operator must remain unable to observe or repeat the payment.
Xai's Data Availability Committee and Data Availability Server operations provide the primary capability anchor. Night Ash will model committee service with explicit quorum, retention, replacement, and escalation conditions. Night Ash sees strong potential in confidentiality that remains governable over time. Protected balances, private computation, post-quantum signatures, and durable availability can reduce exposure without weakening command. The route advances when an adult operator can recover the right authority, prove the chain of custody, revoke the wrong path, and settle an approved obligation while the protected content remains private.
