One network poses a direct resource question: users do not spend $NIGHT to transact. NIGHT generates DUST, and DUST becomes the renewable resource consumed by network activity. The proposal separates a durable network position from the fuel used for each action. Its appeal is less about naming two assets than preventing routine movement from eroding the authority behind it.
The accompanying privacy argument is equally specific. Privacy is described as choosing who sees an account, a message or a transaction, not hiding every action from everyone. Banking and personal communication already use selective visibility. A blockchain route becomes useful when the operator can state which boundary applies, who may cross it and what record remains afterward.
The Sentry Directorate will test a two-resource field model. A durable command credential remains inside the vault, while renewable mission allowances authorize bounded actions outside it. An allowance can expire, be replaced or be denied without changing the member's underlying identity. The design prevents one compromised route budget from becoming permanent organizational authority.
The first drill gives four operators identical credentials and different allowances for navigation, equipment, settlement and public release. Command will exhaust one allowance, replay another and send a third toward the wrong visibility class. The system must stop those actions locally while the unaffected duties continue, then produce a custody record that names the exact resource and rule involved.
Xai's AnyTrust Data Availability Committee and Data Availability Server operations provide the primary technical discipline. They do not claim the same privacy or dual-resource model. Their relevance is accountable separation: defined operators carry responsibility for data availability under stated assumptions. Night Ash will adapt that operated boundary to evidence custody while keeping privacy and allowance behavior as its own BUILD work.
Success will mean the vault never moves merely because a mission spends. Forty allowance cycles with no identity drift, no cross-class disclosure and complete recovery receipts will establish the first threshold. From there the directorate can widen selective access without making every protected action opaque. Choice becomes stronger because its durable authority and expendable fuel remain visibly distinct.
