Treasury Cash Rise Tightens Liquidity as Credit Spreads Widen
The pressure score stayed neutral at 54, but Treasury cash rose $13.802 billion, net dollar liquidity fell $13 billion and the high-yield spread widened 8 basis points.

The headline liquidity score remained neutral at 54, but the components moved in a less comfortable direction. Between the October 15 and 16 observations, Treasury cash rose by $13.802 billion to $948.492 billion while net dollar liquidity fell by $13 billion to $5.807 trillion. The high-yield spread widened 8 basis points to 331, even as the 10-year real yield fell 4 basis points to 2.74%. Overnight reverse repo remained negligible at $0.330 billion on October 19, so it offers little offset if Treasury cash continues absorbing liquidity.
XAI market activity also cooled rather than signalling a new stress regime. The October 19 close slipped from $0.00824 to $0.00807, recorded spot volume fell from $348,752.10 to $211,315.00, and open interest declined from $1,844,864.70 to $1,725,805.90 by October 20. Funding returned to 0.005%, while holder and staking counts barely changed. The combined reading is modest tightening with lower XAI participation, not evidence of forced deleveraging or a causal link between Treasury flows and the token.
