Aave V4 Opens USDC Loans Against Seven Coinbase Stock Tokens
A dedicated Base market now accepts seven tokenized US technology shares as collateral for USDC, with geographic, custody and product limits.

Aave Labs said Coinbase Tokenized Stocks went live on Aave V4 on Base on September 25. The dedicated Equities Hub accepts AAPLc, AMZNc, GOOGLc, METAc, MSFTc, NVDAc and TSLAc as collateral, while USDC is the only borrowable reserve at launch. Each token has its own collateral factor, and the service is limited to eligible users outside the United States.
The tokens are certificates issued by Coinbase Onchain SPV Ltd., with underlying shares held in segregated custody at Alpaca Securities, according to Aave. They are collateral-only: users cannot borrow the stock tokens or open equity-against-equity positions. Dividends are reinvested, and affected reserves pause during corporate actions such as stock splits. The launch extends onchain credit to tokenized equities, but it does not remove issuer, custody, oracle or liquidation risk.
