Circle and Binance announced on September 22 that Binance had invested $100 million in Circle and renewed their commercial relationship for five years. Circle’s SEC filing says the parties entered the arrangements on September 17: Binance bought 1,237,011 Class A shares at $80.84 each in a private placement, with transfer restrictions lasting up to two years.

The agreement calls for Binance to promote USDC across its products, particularly in emerging markets, while the companies explore Circle infrastructure for payments and financial services. Those are contractual plans, not evidence that every proposed integration is already deployed. Circle says proceeds will support growth and stablecoin adoption; neither the announcement nor the filing establishes the later customer uptake or market impact.
