Chainlink Launches CCIP 2.0

Chainlink introduced CCIP 2.0 on September 28 as a live upgrade to its cross-chain protocol. The release lets token issuers and institutions combine Chainlink-operated verification with approved third-party or internally operated verifiers, while adding policy controls intended to support compliance requirements.

The upgrade also allows applications to choose finality settings by transaction type and network rather than applying one uniform threshold. These are protocol capabilities, not proof that any particular institution has completed a production migration or distributed assets across every supported network.
