Chainlink Launches CCIP Vault Adapters

Chainlink says its live adapters let a vault on one home chain accept deposits from more than 80 supported chains while keeping strategy and accounting on the home chain.

Chainlink announced on October 8 that CCIP Vault Adapters are live. The company says a DeFi vault can remain on one home chain while users deposit from more than 80 supported blockchains through an integrated CCIP route. Standard ERC-4626 vaults can deploy an adapter through a factory contract, keeping strategy, accounting, governance and risk controls on the home chain rather than recreating the vault on every network.

Chainlink lists Aave, Lombard, Venus, Re and other issuers, protocols and infrastructure providers as adopting the adapters. That is an announced integration path, not evidence of deposit volume, revenue or risk-free transfers. The release says the initial focus is ERC-4626 deposits and redemptions; asynchronous, multi-asset and permissioned patterns are described as future work.
