Chainlink introduced CustodySync on October 26 with Anchorage Digital Bank as its launch partner. The system is designed to synchronize a qualified custodian’s collateral records with onchain lending-market actions across deposit, borrowing, repayment and liquidation, while the custodian retains control of client assets.

Anchorage combines its custody infrastructure and Atlas Collateral Management product with participating lending protocols. Chainlink’s runtime, price data and proof-of-reserve components provide common data and automate authorized updates between systems. CustodySync does not make Chainlink a custodian, lender or counterparty, and availability can vary by custodian and market. The launch narrows an operational gap between regulated custody and DeFi lending; it does not remove smart-contract, credit or liquidation risk.
