Chromia's official announcements channel said on October 2 that Chromia Pay was live, linking the September 2026 monthly update. This establishes an attributed availability announcement; the notice does not identify the exact launch day within September.
The opened product page and developer documentation describe a non-custodial CHR merchant gateway: funds move from the customer's wallet directly to the merchant's payout wallet, while Chromia Pay holds no keys or pooled funds. Merchants can use hosted or embedded checkout. Their server creates the payment and verifies a signed webhook before fulfilling a confirmed order, rather than relying on the customer's browser redirect.
The merchant sign-in and checkout landing pages were accessible at review time. Those product surfaces do not independently establish completed payments, merchant adoption, transaction volume or revenue. Availability and a documented integration path are the supported developments; commercial uptake remains unmeasured in the sources reviewed.
