ether.fi Adds Read-Only MCP Connections for Account Analysis
Users can grant supported assistants time-limited visibility into transactions, cards and balances without transaction authority.

ether.fi said on October 15 that its AI Connections page now creates Model Context Protocol links for Claude, ChatGPT and other compatible assistants. A connected assistant can read account transactions, card activity and balances to answer questions about spending or subscriptions. Permissions are off by default, can be selected separately and expire after 90 days.
The connection is explicitly read-only: ether.fi says an assistant cannot spend, borrow, repay, withdraw or change card settings. Users can revoke access and can create separate links for multiple assistants. The launch expands account analysis, but it does not give an AI agent control of funds; mobile support is still described as forthcoming.
