Playable tests and short contests need different measures

Mane City’s described contest terms concern a reward window; tests and creator tools concern what remains afterward.

Mane City’s described free Vanguard Blitz runs July 24–31, offering more than $10,000 across the top 1,000 positions. The game roundup also describes an Illuvium test, Otherside survival testing and a development camp, plus a Sandbox Studio asset pack and chess-related work for International Chess Day. Tests supply feedback and tools supply material; neither alone demonstrates lasting participation.

GalaSwap is reported at roughly $4.25 million in total value locked and a daily-volume high of $10.45 million. Locked value and turnover are different measures, not equivalent revenue. The useful game-economy question is whether temporary competition leaves progress and identity that make a later visit worthwhile, while each game retains control of its balance and admission rules.
