Weekend prices need freshness, methodology and a retained record

A newly published value and an unchanged last price can look identical without the feed’s clock.

The oracle roundup describes Pyth’s BRENT index continuing to update on weekends, DIA’s zero-knowledge data system for DeFi, tokenized assets and cross-chain validation, and APRO’s Bstock feed and operating-architecture updates. Weekend publication makes the difference between a fresh observation and a repeated last value consequential for collateral and liquidation. Applications need the feed identity, timestamp and verification rule alongside the price, with a way to flag delayed sources and unusual observations.

Truthful input and available state are separate properties. Oracle selection concerns the outside fact; retaining the state used at settlement lets another operator reconstruct why a position or balance changed. Round-the-clock access is easier to interpret when weekend methodology and that decision record remain visible together.
