Hyperliquid Open Interest: Growth and Exit Capacity
Outstanding exposure is not turnover or a count of independent users.

Historical Hyperliquid reports describe real-world-asset open interest rising from $2.6 billion to $3 billion, with the earlier figure twice its level two months before and HIP-3 setting monthly highs since its October 2025 launch. A later account reports $3.6 billion of RWA open interest and $11 billion total for the year's high. These are different observations of outstanding exposure, not additive flows, verified holder counts or proof of durable adoption.
Concentration, collateral overlap, holding periods and executable exit depth determine what those totals can support. Displayed depth may disappear when large positions close together. A real-asset contract also needs a map to its offchain reference, trading hours, redemption authority and interruption rules: an onchain position can remain open while the referenced market is closed. Continuous access and a familiar asset name do not remove that mismatch.
