Composable Cloud Services Need an Exit Path
Easy installation does not establish provider independence.

The cloud-engine proposition associated with DFINITY describes a dozen or more onchain services, AI-native and remixable, with an entry tier advertised as permanently free and installation compared to a phone app. Those are product claims, not a measurement of total operating cost. Identity, messaging, settlement, storage and agent execution still have separate dependencies. Data export, replacement of a module, recovery after disconnection and required external privileges are more informative tests of independence than installation speed alone.
