Bitcoin Credit and Euro Spending Need Full-Route Costing

A cross-chain position and a zero-FX message leave other costs intact.

Lombard's cross-chain credit discussion describes using Chainlink to distribute Bitcoin-related deposits, including BTC.b and LBTC, across networks. A single position on screen can still contain several asset representations, custody boundaries and message dependencies. The original description names no institutional participant, so no additional partnership follows from it. Assessment needs the starting asset, each representation, custodian and redemption path.

Separately, ether.fi's euro-spending campaign contrasts recurring 1% travel charges with a zero-FX claim. Zero in one fee column does not describe the whole journey: conversion spreads, settlement timing, rewards conditions and failed-payment recovery may still affect the amount usable by the holder. Credit and consumer spending therefore share an accounting problem without becoming the same product.
