Digital Pound Lab Tests Settlement Interoperability

Polygon describes trade-finance testing in Phase 2.

Polygon describes Phase 2 of the Bank of England's Digital Pound Lab as testing interoperability between stablecoins and central-bank digital currency in trade finance, with Polygon providing settlement infrastructure. This is laboratory work, not a digital-pound launch. Exchanging a message is only part of settlement: the receiving system must recognize the asset, authorization and final state. Capacity, reserve backing and reconciliation remain separate tests; high traffic alone cannot demonstrate that obligations have been discharged.
