NEAR Distinguishes Post-Quantum Access from Its Roadmap

Asset access and future block-production changes have different scope.

NEAR says users already have a post-quantum-secure path for holding assets, while further changes to block production and multichain asset protection remain part of its technical direction. The present access claim should not be read as completion of that wider transition. Long-lived ownership and authorization records need a migration path when algorithms change; short-lived telemetry has different retention needs. Treating both identically can either accumulate unnecessary personal data or leave durable records dependent on credentials designed for a shorter horizon.
