Background: The card prototype is still being tested and adjusted repeatedly, and the studio often invites the community to casual playtest nights. With St. Patrick’s Day approaching, the team wanted a temporary change of mood without making the card faces harder to read.

Today: The St. Patrick’s Day playtest night took on a green theme, and the card backs were temporarily changed to green. Someone proposed recoloring the cues on the card faces too, but Night Watchman urged the team to keep in-game recognition clear. They changed only the backs and left playtest feedback focused on the rules and cards themselves.

Impact and next steps: The green theme brought a holiday mood to a midweek test while keeping gameplay readability separate from decoration. The team has not decided whether the temporary card backs should stay; after the test, they will restore the regular version and see which changes players remember more.
