Background: Alongside the studio's prototype, the community is gradually finding its own character. Night Watchman is a long-time member. On Saturday he wants to give everyone something light to do together and see which jokes best capture the group.
Today: Night Watchman organized a community meme contest, with members submitting entries drawn from the game and the everyday life of the chat. The winning work would be reused for many years. On this day, people first debated which entry fit best, then kept the winner as a shared memory.
Impact and next steps: The contest left the community with an in-joke people could recognize again and again, and gave newer members an opening to join the conversation. Night Watchman still has everyday questions to look after; time will tell how long the meme lasts and whether it draws more people in.
