Background: The rain-call reward has only just begun. The studio wants players to keep exploring the server, while also distinguishing genuine participants from accounts that appear only for a prize. On Saturday there is no new contest format; the list itself becomes the first signal to assess.
Today: The second day’s list was three times longer than the first day’s. After looking at it, the Night Watchman reminded everyone that the count was rising quickly, but it was not yet clear whether the arrivals were active players or temporary accounts. He suggested not treating the list as a measure of community size just yet.
Impact and next: His caution shifts attention from the length of the list to the quality of participation. The studio will keep announcing the event as usual, while the Night Watchman plans to see which names remain a week later. That should make it easier to judge whether the rain call brought in people willing to stay.
