Background: The studio’s community events and playtests had become a regular weekly gathering, and the Night Watchman was often there, explaining matches and welcoming newcomers. The team wanted to recognize that steady presence and give the honor more form than a compliment in chat.
Today: On Saturday, the community chose the Night Watchman as the first member of its “Hall of Fame.” His prize was a hand-drawn card. The decision put a familiar community member into an official record of honor, while the handmade card carried more personal meaning than an ordinary reward.
Impact and next: The Night Watchman moved from regular participant to the Hall of Fame’s first inductee, and the community gained a public way to recognize sustained contributions. How the card will be kept, and who might join the Hall of Fame later, still depends on habits that have yet to grow through future events.
