Background: The vertical slice is being brought together, and the studio needs to turn acceptance from a verbal goal into a real schedule while also making room for the team to catch its breath during the year-end push. The meeting has two decisions on the table: delivery timing and a venue for the year-end gathering.
Today: The meeting placed slice acceptance in mid-December, leaving time for final fixes and rehearsal. The year-end gathering will be at a small pub. Someone pointed out that the party plans must not crowd out the final work before acceptance, so the team put delivery checks on the calendar first.
Impact and next: Acceptance now has a clear window, letting the team schedule its remaining work around it; the gathering becomes a commitment during the push rather than a distraction from the immediate focus. Next they must keep the fixes on track and confirm before acceptance that the slice meets the bar.
