Background: The team was looking for a memorable name for the Tyson NFT cards, one that could carry the contrast between boxing and racing pigeons. In the meeting room, naming was more than a joke: it affected how soon promotional materials for the spring release window could enter production.
Today: The project was named “Mike Tyson's Iron Pigeons” (Iron Pigeons). The unexpected combination of a champion boxer and racing pigeons first made the room laugh, then won unanimous approval. The release window was set for spring, and the materials schedule was issued that day, connecting the name to production work.
Impact and next: A concept that had still been under discussion now had a shared name, allowing the team to move ahead with promotion and asset production. Spring was a release window, not a specific date. The next task was to prepare the materials on schedule and make the boxer-and-pigeon contrast clear in public messaging.
