The studio had just eliminated its advertising budget, yet its community was still welcoming players arriving from elsewhere. With no official event planned for the weekend, some longtime members wanted a place to discuss the recent panic and show newcomers why people had stayed.

The community organized its own “bear-market tea talk.” The Night Watchman told his story of joining: cards first drew him in, and later he often stayed to answer newcomers’ questions. When someone asked when the game would be playable, he made no promise on the studio’s behalf. He added the question to the topics people hoped to hear about next time.

The gathering gave unfamiliar players a place to talk for now, but it also showed that longtime members could not answer for the production team indefinitely. The Night Watchman planned to pass recurring questions to the community lead and seek a more specific explanation at the next opportunity. Players still had no answer about when they could try the game.
