On Christmas Eve, the studio’s chain research continued, but community life was unfolding elsewhere. The Night Watchman had long been a regular in the group. After a year of bear-market strain, he wanted an easy way for those still around to start talking.
He started a “Bear-Market New Year’s Vigil” thread, inviting people to recall a game moment from the year or leave a line for their future selves. He posted his own reflection first and replied to others. Some talked about Final Form; others simply wanted a rest that evening. He did not turn the thread into a demand for progress updates.
The conversation briefly gave the community room to talk about something other than prices. It also showed the Night Watchman that people had different needs, from games to rest. After the holiday, he planned to sort out concrete feedback worth passing to the team; which wishes could become workable suggestions remained to be seen.
