The Project Gets a Goal: Build a Chain for Games

Back at the studio after the holiday, the chain team needed to finish revising its project proposal. A-Zhen and her colleagues had assembled research, but the team still lacked a shared goal that could constrain later decisions.

The proposal was finalized with a one-sentence goal: build their own chain for games. During the discussion, some worried that 'their own' might lock the team into a solution too early. The group treated it instead as a commitment to design around game needs and take responsibility for the result, without claiming that a particular technology had already been chosen.

The document became a project direction rather than a record of exploration. Any existing option they assessed, or any plan to build the chain themselves, would have to show how it served games. The goal was settled, but the architecture and route to implementation were not; the group would next test feasibility against the requirements one by one.
