A New Test Cluster Passes Its Failure Drill

The sequencer's lost-block problem on restart had recently been fixed, and bridge testing had entered its second phase. She moved the test environment to the new cluster and ran the planned failure drill. The new cluster took over testing, allowing the engineers to move past repeated investigation of the old environment.

A creative chronicle combining project history with imagined scenes. Story events are not verification of network activity.

The sequencer's lost-block problem on restart had recently been fixed, and bridge testing had entered its second phase. As a chain engineer, A-Zhen worried that the old test environment might hide weaknesses in recovery, so she used the move to examine a new cluster.

She moved the test environment to the new cluster and ran the planned failure drill. After it passed, the team knew the environment could complete this recovery sequence. A-Zhen then asked colleagues to spell out what needed checking before and after the move, so the next tests would not rely on assumptions from the old setup.

The new cluster took over testing, allowing the engineers to move past repeated investigation of the old environment. One drill established recovery only for the scenario exercised. Bridge and sequencer tests would continue there to reveal any remaining edge cases.
