Quiet Days Expose a Gap in Players' Records

The conversation sparked by the short film faded, and summer heat settled over a quiet Final Form group. Only a handful of people were checking their records, counting how many cards they had committed and how much Chromos they had accumulated. The check produced no new update for the waiting group, but it made the next choice more deliberate: confirm the cards and Chromos already accounted for before committing more.

A creative chronicle combining project history with imagined scenes. Story events are not verification of network activity.

The conversation sparked by the short film faded, and summer heat settled over a quiet Final Form group. For a few players, committing cards remained the most concrete thing to do. While waiting for the next update, the Night Watchman noticed that some could no longer remember exactly which actions they had taken.

Only a handful of people were checking their records, counting how many cards they had committed and how much Chromos they had accumulated. One player found that his memory did not match what he could see and wanted to commit another card immediately to make up the difference. The Night Watchman asked him to put the existing actions in order first, rather than use a new action to resolve an old question he had not yet understood.

The check produced no new update for the waiting group, but it made the next choice more deliberate: confirm the cards and Chromos already accounted for before committing more. The Night Watchman planned to explain the usual checking steps to others who asked. The player still had to work out where his discrepancy came from.
