Background: The studio has entered another stretch of development, while the community is still balancing the needs of the game team against those of collectible holders. As BTC weakens, the upgrade requirement has become a point of debate: should it reward ownership, or allow more people to take part?

Today: BTC fell below 42,000. That same day, the community dropped the rule that upgrades required holding one LAMO: the game team needed to build the game first, and there were few collectibles in circulation anyway. The three-month account-age requirement remained.

Impact and next steps: Upgrades are no longer blocked by scarce collectibles, reducing one obstacle for the team, while the age requirement still sets a boundary. The community will see whether the revised rule better serves development; the reason for retaining the three-month threshold remains open to discussion.
