Final Form reached early access today, moving from displayed cards to a playable client. Collectors wanted to know how their cards would take part in the game; support staff and engineers had to deal with what happened when players actually downloaded and entered it.
Early access went live at noon. The client was available from the official website and, for now, only on Windows. During the first week, entry was limited to collectors of the first card set. Inside, they could stake cards to draw Chromos, the fuel for evolving cards to higher rarities. Chromos was a fungible token on Solana; the official announcement described its distribution as entirely fair, with no reserve and no private sale. The same announcement scheduled a free claim for the Iron Pigeons on October 19, marking the 35th anniversary of Tyson becoming undisputed heavyweight champion. Players would be able to claim them on the Magic Eden launchpad and use them in the game immediately. Early LAMO collectors and holders of the first card set would automatically be whitelisted for the first five hours after claiming opened.
Support staff kept receiving the same complaint that day: the client had been downloaded but would not open. They answered each case by hand. After looking at the server activity, A-Zhen said the number of players was small, but every one of them was really playing. To the narrator, cards that had waited three years were finally more than pictures: they had entered a machine that had to keep running. The opening turned described mechanics into steps players could try, while exposing barriers at the entrance. The team still had to address the launch problem, players had to learn the staking and evolution flow, and the Iron Pigeon claim remained set for October 19.
