A Launch Sequence, Without a Date

A public test of Final Form had been announced, and its cards and evolution mechanics were drawing newcomers. Community operators faced a specific problem: people wanted to know when they could take part, but there was no launch date they could announce.

More people pressed for a launch time. The operators kept their answer cautious and imprecise: it would follow the release of the Final Form test version, and the wait would not be long. When someone asked whether that counted as a schedule commitment, an operator explained that they could state the order of events, but a specific date still required a formal announcement.

Players now knew the order of the test version and the launch, but could not plan around a firm date. The operator intended to keep the recurring question and answer together so that “not long” would not spread through the group as a confirmed launch date.
