Stage Four Turns Pioneer Status into the Final Challenge

Odyssey had just been extended by two weeks. Newcomers had more time to take part, while longtime participants still faced the ranking competition. The first three stages had introduced tasks, points, and testnet actions; as Stage Four arrived, people in the community wanted to know how all that effort could lead to Pioneer status.

Stage Four opened as the “Ultimate Challenge.” The team stated its aim plainly: Pioneer status was what participants were pursuing in this stage; everyone wanted it, but only a few would get it. The team wanted to see how far participants could go. When someone immediately asked for a shortcut, the Night Watchman suggested checking the stage tasks and points already earned instead of treating an encouraging line as a new eligibility rule.

The activity’s focus shifted from learning how to participate to competing for limited status through continued tasks. The extension gave newcomers room to keep trying; those who had followed along from the start now had to decide how much energy they could still devote. Who would qualify remained dependent on the tasks and rankings ahead.
