The Scoreboard Counts Missing Wallets, but Pioneer Status Stays Separate

Background: By Day 31 of Odyssey, official tasks, onchain actions, and registration records on Galxe and Zealy did not always match. Today: The Day 31 task went out as usual, with the usual wording; the real change came that evening. Impact and next steps: That night, the Night Watchman described the revised rule to the group as two ledgers: the chain knew what a wallet had done, while platform registration recorded who had reported their work.

A creative chronicle combining project history with imagined scenes. Story events are not verification of network activity.

Background: By Day 31 of Odyssey, official tasks, onchain actions, and registration records on Galxe and Zealy did not always match. Some people had genuinely used the testnet but could not see the points they expected because of problems with the points platforms. The group was asking not only how to do a task, but who qualified to appear on the scoreboard.

Today: The Day 31 task went out as usual, with the usual wording; the real change came that evening. After extensive feedback about scoring, the officials acknowledged that many people had tested the network in earnest and had onchain transactions to show for it, yet had been caught by various Galxe problems. From that day on, any wallet that had performed official task actions on the testnet would earn points even without registration on Galxe or Zealy. Four limits came with that route: its scoreboard points would update only once a week; participants could see a total score but not which tasks had been completed; they could not gain Pioneer status; and they could enter only the other contributor tiers. The officials also acknowledged that this was not entirely fair to those who had recorded each step on both platforms, so Pioneer places would remain reserved for registered participants.

Impact and next steps: That night, the Night Watchman described the revised rule to the group as two ledgers: the chain knew what a wallet had done, while platform registration recorded who had reported their work. The narrator read the announcement twice. By Day 31, the difficulty was not merely restoring missed points, but deciding which tier the people left off the scoreboard could enter. They finally had a path to a score, yet that path did not grant Pioneer status. A weekly total also gave them no way to check tasks one by one, so the announcement did not end the dispute.
