A Second Season Ahead, and the Odds of a Node Reward

The Launchpool period was approaching and airdrop allocations had been published, yet some node operators still stared at a zero earnings display, expecting a reward after half a month of operation. The official account reminded the community that next week's airdrop was only the first season and that a second season was on the way. The checklist helped distinguish an online node that had not won from a malfunctioning one, so a single earnings display need not settle the diagnosis.

A creative chronicle combining project history with imagined scenes. Story events are not verification of network activity.

The Launchpool period was approaching and airdrop allocations had been published, yet some node operators still stared at a zero earnings display, expecting a reward after half a month of operation. The Night Watchman wanted to address that anxiety clearly.

The official account reminded the community that next week's airdrop was only the first season and that a second season was on the way. On the same day, node questions were collected into a long checklist. Its most useful answer addressed operators who had run for half a month without receiving a token: there were about 720 challenges per month, and each key had roughly a 1% chance in each challenge. Keeping the machine online allowed it to participate; the outcome still depended on chance.

The checklist helped distinguish an online node that had not won from a malfunctioning one, so a single earnings display need not settle the diagnosis. The Night Watchman planned to ask about online status first, then explain the odds. First-season claiming was still pending, and the second season remained an announced plan; actual claiming instructions still had to come.
