Mainnet announcement, website interruption and developer access

Xai's January 10, 2024 announcement stated that mainnet was live and directed readers to connection documentation and the Arbitrum bridge. This records the project's launch communication. It does not independently establish transaction throughput, uninterrupted availability or the scale of subsequent adoption.

Later that day, an administrator reported that the Xai website was down and repairs were under way, with a renewed warning about scams. A follow-up reported restoration. The messages were created at 17:53 UTC and 19:32 UTC, approximately ninety-nine minutes apart. That interval measures the spacing of the notices, not a precisely established outage duration or a blockchain halt.

A separate announcement said Xai mainnet was available through Thirdweb tools for NFT collections and drops. The practical distinction is between an announced developer access route and measured production use. Tool availability alone does not show how many applications were deployed, whether they retained users or what revenue they generated.

The day's community communications also circulated a $70 million valuation for the token distribution. It should be read as a reported valuation of tokens, not proof that recipients received that amount in cash or realized it through sales. No causal link between the launch announcements and a particular closing price follows from these communications.
