A Login Fix at the Door to the Card Game

After the previous day’s sharp drop, trading was thinner on Saturday. The developers received reports that new accounts could not log in and worked late to release version 0.9.4.4 that same day to fix it. The overnight fix addressed the technical barrier facing new players, while reminding the developers that appealing tasks and rewards mean little if people cannot get into the game.

After the previous day’s sharp drop, trading was thinner on Saturday. The community was still waiting for games it could get its hands on. Some people were already trying the card game, but newly registered players were running into a login problem.

The developers received reports that new accounts could not log in and worked late to release version 0.9.4.4 that same day to fix it. The Night Watchman had planned to share the game’s entry point with group members asking how to play, but told them to wait for the update when he saw the problem. Once the version was out, he asked those who had been blocked to try again and describe where they got stuck.

The overnight fix addressed the technical barrier facing new players, while reminding the developers that appealing tasks and rewards mean little if people cannot get into the game. The Night Watchman planned to gather the results of those renewed login attempts for the team. Whether every new account could enter smoothly, and whether players would stay afterward, still needed watching.
