An unanswered proposal and a key holder’s practical question
Gauntlet’s staking proposal was new, and forum readers wanted to know whether the foundation would adopt it. Someone pressed for an answer on whether the proposal had been approved, but none came. A pending proposal and an immediate operating question called for different answers.
A creative chronicle combining project history with imagined scenes. Story events are not verification of network activity.
Gauntlet’s staking proposal was new, and forum readers wanted to know whether the foundation would adopt it. New Sentry Key holders were still trying to work out how to participate in the network. Both concerns had landed in the same discussion.
Someone pressed for an answer on whether the proposal had been approved, but none came. Elsewhere, a newcomer asked whether the same Sentry Key could run a node personally and also go into a pool. Rather than decide for the project, an older member asked whether the newcomer wanted to operate the node or have a pool manage it, then suggested checking the current rules for each route.
A pending proposal and an immediate operating question called for different answers. For now, the forum could only separate them: the first awaited the foundation’s position, the second a clear reading of the rules. The newcomer held off moving the key rather than treat an idea under discussion as a rule already in force.
