Tollan funds a season prize pool through Crown purchases

Tollan Universe opened its Season 2 presale with an advertised starting prize pool of 4000 USDC and a commitment to direct 70% of Crown purchases into that pool. The allocation applied to Crown purchases, not all revenue or every Gold Pass sale. The captured post offered discounts of up to 80% on Gold Passes and Crowns until August 1 at 00:00 UTC, with the season scheduled from that time until August 11 at 00:00 UTC. USDC was the prize denomination; reducing the starting amount to a generic dollar figure obscures the asset and the conditions of the competition.

The commercial design separated an entry product from spending inside the game: Gold Pass granted access to compete for USDC, while Crowns purchased Crystals and Revive Kits. A referral offer promised 5% of referred friends' spending for 6 months, alongside separate milestone bonuses. The funding logic therefore depended partly on participant purchases and acquisition incentives. It was not evidence of an investment yield, a final paid prize total or an automatic transfer of all those flows into demand for XAI.

Later that day a community message sharply criticized Final Form's move off-chain and called it a scam. The retained message supplies no author name or supporting particulars for that fraud allegation. The criticism concerns Final Form, not Tollan's presale, so combining them into an accusation about the same product would change its meaning. It nevertheless records a material sentiment risk around the connection between game development and token utility, which promotional prize-pool figures do not answer.
