Background: The “February Trials,” which began last week, had reached the results stage. Players cared about more than rank: they wanted to know how prizes would be awarded, who could go on to the summer grand final, and when they could play again.
Today: The European and American regions each named their top four. First place in each region received USD 100 and 1,000 points, with prizes decreasing for the lower places. Both regional champions qualified for the summer grand final; the next event was set for March 20. The same day, Tollan added Chinese localization in its weekly update.
Impact and next steps: The Trials had become a competition with standings and a path onward, while players who did not win had another date to look toward. Tollan’s Chinese localization gave another group of players a more familiar interface. Whether it would make communication and play smoother still depended on user feedback.
