An Old Sentry Key, an Unanswered Trading Question

Over the weekend, someone in the community asked where Sentry Keys could now be bought or sold. Officials had previously said the keys were soulbound and nontransferable; the question’s trading premise needed clarification. The Night Watchman ran a node and had held his own key since December 2023.

The Night Watchman saw the question and did not reply. He had held his key since December 2023 and had never considered selling it, so he could not speak to the supposed buy-and-sell market the questioner had in mind. He had not yet explained the earlier official nontransferability rule to them.

The questioner had no answer from him for now. The Night Watchman planned to check the earlier official explanation, then explain why the soulbound rule undermined the premise of buying or selling a key; as of that day, he had not replied. His years of holding and never selling described his own choice, not evidence of a trading channel or a quoted price.
