As the studio prepared its roadmap, community members were looking for connections that felt firmer than a group chat. Recent attention to the community’s activity still left the Night Watchman with a question: would players stay once the excitement faded?

Over the weekend, holders organized their own Pigeon Friends gatherings in three cities. The organizers wanted to hear how people had found the game; others simply wanted to meet familiar names from their screens. The Night Watchman did not treat the meetings as a recruitment drive. He asked people to bring their unanswered questions about playing back to the chat.

Meeting in person gave familiar avatars voices and made the question of staying more specific. Some cared most about gameplay; others wanted to know whether they could keep finding companions. Holders had arranged the gatherings themselves. Whether their questions would reach the studio’s next discussion depended on what people shared afterward.
