On Saturday, Sisyphus was still keeping his promise to decide whether to stay after the election. The price had given him no answer he liked, and the task platform's failure had worn down patience in the group. Each time he opened the chat, he felt he first had to explain why he was still there.
He wrote a post announcing his departure from the community, then saved it as a draft. When he reached the part where he would say goodbye to people he knew, he separated his complaints from his real reasons: he could voice his disappointment today, but leaving would also mean stepping away from the games he still played and the people he still spoke to. He decided not to send it yet.
The draft made leaving a concrete choice for the first time while giving him room to reconsider. Sisyphus made no promise about how long he would keep holding XAI. He planned to wait for the task platform to recover and look at the next phase's gameplay before deciding whether the post still spoke for him.
