A February Rebound and Visible Card Ownership

On the last day of February, the community was still trying to find its rhythm amid war news and market swings. A month-end short squeeze sent BTC sharply back to about USD 43,000 in a single day, leaving February up after its deep reversal. On the last day of February, the community was still trying to find its rhythm amid war news and market swings. Cards could already change hands, but people in Discord still had to state for themselves whether they held any. The studio was addressing the gap between displayed identity and wallet holdings.

A month-end short squeeze sent BTC sharply back to about USD 43,000 in a single day, leaving February up after its deep reversal. On the same day, Discord gained holdings verification: card owners could connect a wallet and receive a corresponding role based on how many cards they held. For the first time, members could see at a glance who actually held cards. Some welcomed the clearer signal; others wanted people to read the authorization prompt before connecting.

Previously, a member's claim to hold cards rested on what they said in chat. Now the displayed role could correspond to wallet holdings, giving card discussions a shared, visible starting point. But a role showed holdings at the time of connection, not whether someone's opinions were sound. The studio still needed to explain the connection steps clearly.
