The Eligibility List Is Rerun as the Claim Window Nears

The free Iron Pigeon claim was two days away. The organizers first laid out the three stages planned for the morning of October 19, starting in the 10 a.m. hour: one hour for early LAMO collectors and first-set card holders, four hours for partner communities, then a fully public claim. The completed snapshot could no longer answer every eligibility question on its own.

The free Iron Pigeon claim was two days away. First-set card holders, early LAMO collectors, and several partner communities were waiting for eligibility details. The narrator had to record changes clearly, while Night Watchman faced arguments in the group over where the list's boundary fell.

The organizers first laid out the three stages planned for the morning of October 19, starting in the 10 a.m. hour: one hour for early LAMO collectors and first-set card holders, four hours for partner communities, then a fully public claim. A snapshot had already been taken. The script had run all weekend across many blocks so eligibility would not hinge on holdings at a single instant. The announcement repeatedly warned that no whitelist credential would be airdropped to wallets; anyone offering one by private message was a scammer. The narrator then issued a correction: weekend buyers should count too, so the script had to be rerun, but the cutoff had closed and people should stop buying cards to get onto the list. The added conditions required holding a card now and throughout the next 24 hours. Anyone selling in that period would not count, nor would anyone buying during it. Some called this fair; others asked why the rules had changed twice. Night Watchman replied that a list was a line drawn by people, and wherever they drew it, someone would be standing just on either side.

The completed snapshot could no longer answer every eligibility question on its own. Rerunning the script had to account for weekend buyers while respecting the closed cutoff. The narrator recorded Night Watchman's remark and the divided reactions: a more detailed rule also demanded a clearer explanation for those near its edge. The claim had yet to begin, and the team still had to align the eligibility lookup and scam warnings with the final list. The dispute stayed with the narrator whenever later snapshots came to mind.
