July unlock statement separates allocations and supply measures
Xai announced that contributors had agreed to relock their July allocation over 6 months, reducing the team's announced July unlock from approximately 85 million to 17.7 million tokens. The statement appeared on the project's account and in an administrator's announcement. It reports an agreement and revised release schedule, not an independently inspected contract transaction or a verified legal obligation.
The published July breakdown was approximately 72.3 million for investors, 17.7 million for the team, 4.2 million for advisers, 5.2 million for DAC and 8.5 million for the Xai Foundation. These components sum to 107.9 million tokens. The team's relocking announcement did not say that the investor allocation had also been relocked.
The account compared that release with roughly 300 million XAI already circulating: an increase of about 36%, or about 26% of the enlarged circulating total. Those percentages use different denominators and are arithmetically consistent with the stated amounts. Separately, the post reported totalSupply of 1,473,270,834 and excluded nontransferable esXAI from circulating supply. That totalSupply figure is neither the circulating amount nor a stated maximum-supply cap.
The statement described daily releases for each allocation rather than a single monthly release, and said that cadence applied beyond July. Daily vesting changes when tokens become available; it does not establish when recipients sell or eliminate market-liquidity risk. The records do not verify executed transfers, future prices, investor reactions or Night Ash participation in the announcement.
