The sale opened with demand and checkout friction
The sale-open notice arrived at 02:00 UTC. Xai's accompanying post described the keys as wallet-bound, with no secondary market. The economic distinction is fundamental: an ascending primary-sale tier is not an executable resale price for an existing holder. Access to future ecosystem distributions was the proposition being promoted, not unrestricted transferability.

A later update reported 14,500 keys sold in the first 15 minutes at tier 18 and 35,931 sold at tier 19, with the then-current price at 0.01645 ETH. It also reported Crossmint purchase problems while XAI, esXAI and Arbitrum ETH minting remained available. Sales volume and payment reliability must be assessed together; multiplying all keys by the latest tier price would misstate receipts across different price tiers.
