Xai Chronicle

The Subtitle Moves, but the Action Disappears

Background: The writer is the founder of XAI and is organizing material for a gaming-media interview. Today: He asked a test reader to sit in the marked position and watch the entire sequence without pausing. Impact and next step: Being able to identify the character in a still frame does not mean the action can be followed during continuous playback.

A creative chronicle combining project history with imagined scenes. Story events are not verification of network activity.

Background: The writer is the founder of XAI and is organizing material for a gaming-media interview. While previously checking the subtitles for Final Form, he noted the points where the character became obscured; whether the subtitles were readable and whether the action remained fully visible had not yet been compared in a single continuous viewing.

Today: He asked a test reader to sit in the marked position and watch the entire sequence without pausing. After the subtitles were moved upward, the reader finished the text and then looked for the character, but had already missed the obscured action. Beside the obstruction he had circled earlier, the writer added another question: after reading, what can still be seen?

Impact and next step: Being able to identify the character in a still frame does not mean the action can be followed during continuous playback. In the interview material, the adjustment must therefore remain an unresolved issue. The next test will place the subtitles nearer the lower edge to see whether avoiding the character instead creates a new reading problem at the edge of the screen.
